Hindustani Classical Tabla Online Course

Train your hands, awaken your rhythm, and feel the language of ताल.

At KalaVriksh, Tabla is not just an instrument to play, it is a sacred entity that speaks the divine language of ताल, and we are about to go deeper into that realm.

You may feel attracted to the sound of Tabla, yet when you try to play it, your hands may not respond as you wish, and rhythm may feel difficult to maintain. This course is designed to guide you step by step—from basic bols to structured playing in Taal – with confidence.

You begin with foundational strokes and gradually move towards kayda, paltas, and taals like Teentaal, Dadra, Kaherva, and Roopak. With consistent practice, your hand coordination improves, your sense of rhythm strengthens, and your playing becomes steady and expressive.

Rooted in the tradition where rhythm is not just counted but felt, this course helps you experience Tabla as a form of लय साधना.

By the end, you are not just playing—you are understanding and flowing with rhythm.

Namaste!
I am a Vandan. I am a writer, translator, and Tabla player—someone who finds joy in expressing ideas through words and rhythm.

I have been playing Tabla since 2009.

I believe Tabla is not just an instrument to play to impress the audience. Tabla is a sacred instrument that teaches me to live in harmony, in लय and ताल; it teaches me how to accompany someone’s harmony!

I invite you to step ahead in the world of संगीत with me!
