Understand the language, connect with the culture.
At KalaVriksh, learning Korean is not just about memorizing words—it is a journey of understanding, structure, and expression.
You may be interested in Korean through music, dramas, or career opportunities, yet feel unsure how to begin. The language may appear unfamiliar at first, with a new script, sounds, and sentence structure. This course is designed to guide you step by step, making the learning process simple and approachable. We teach in a ‘curiosity-driven’ way.
You begin with 한글 (Korean script) and gradually move towards forming sentences, understanding grammar, and speaking in everyday situations. With guided practice, repetition, and real-life usage, your confidence in Korean grows steadily.
The focus is not only on learning rules, but on using the language naturally and meaningfully.
By the end, you are not just learning Korean—you are communicating with it.
1. Speaking Practice (Expression) – You begin speaking in guided situations from the day one. This builds confidence. You start using Korean actively.
2. Practice Beyond the Textbook – Since books alone are not always enough, we use practice material from different sources to help you learn more efficiently and apply concepts better.
3. Cultural Insights Along the Way – Language learning becomes more meaningful when you understand the culture, too. That is why cultural insights are naturally woven into the
course flow.
4. Exam-Oriented Preparation – You will study a syllabus and textbook aligned with TOPIK and the Sejong Korean Language Assessment (SKA) in a clear, practical, and learner-friendly approach.
6. These topics will be covered in 1A level course…
1. Self-Introduction
2. Objects and Movement
3. Native and Sino-Korean numbers
4. Buying things
5. Time, Weather, and Seasons
6. Weekend Activities
Each session includes:
You will learn by understanding, practicing, and using the language consistently.
By the end of 1A course, you will:
1B – Strengthen the foundation built in 1A by expanding your vocabulary, improving sentence
formation, and learning to communicate more naturally in a wider range of everyday situations.
Namaste! I am Veda, a Korean language graduate from JNU and recipient of fellowships including POSCO. I developed strong language skills and cultural insight through work with Korean nationals as convener of the JNU Korean Choir and with the Korea Tourism Organisation, including firsthand experience in Korea.
I trained with the Sejong Institute’s Korean Language Teacher Training program and hold a Master’s in Education from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
In my classes, students build natural connections between their native language and Korean in a gentle, collaborative, non-judgemental environment where mistakes are part of learning. The structured course design helps learners progress effectively.
